We seek student video editors/shooters or those entering the industry who wish to make a meaningful commitment to an established non-profit professional theatre and acting conservatory. Develop your skills and creativity under the guidance of our renowned Artistic Director and Founder, Thurman E. Scott. The project goal is to bring the power of our classes and programs to the public. Your work will have a lasting impact on our theatre and community. Founded over two decades ago The Actors Theatre Workshop (ATW) is an award winning non-profit theatre and community center serving as a laboratory for creative development. We offer professional acting training and community programs including Builders of the New World , a theatre and education program for homeless children and at-risk youth. ATW has a library of over 1000 hours of unedited footage of Mr. Scott teaching his original creative process. We are now bringing this powerful material, currently available only to the students in ATW's Master Class, to a broader audience. We will create instructional documentaries to distribute on our website and other media. This valuable training material for actors and directors will bring powerful, effective theatre principles and techniques to people from all walks of life seeking to develop creatively and personally. Video Apprentices will receive classes in creative development and hands-on training in an original creative film technique. Apprentices will also serve as videographers in Mr. Scott's Master Class in which he teaches his original acting and creative process to professional actors. By participating in this unique professional scholarship program, members will receive an unparalleled learning experience through exposure to ground-breaking creative work and illuminating ideas. We seek applicants with training and experience in Final Cut Pro, http streaming, digital shooting, cataloging of footage, working with a web developer, and lighting and sound. Apprentices will work from pre- through post-production under the direction of a project manager and Mr. Scott. Members of the one or two year program will video-tape the two Master Classes each week, and spend 10 hours per week editing, and in pre/post production. We seek professional, curious, detail-oriented individuals with the desire and ability to engage in ATW's creative process. Thurman E. Scott is an award-winning actor, director, writer, producer, and master teacher of acting and creative process with over 30 years of professional experience. Stella Adler declared, "Thurman E.
